Just One More Thing

You have lived under the illusion that if you could get just one more thing done you would finally experience rest.  Have you noticed this hasn’t worked? There will always be “just one more thing” that will demand your attention.

The truest definition of rest can only be discovered when you are surrounded by more things to do.  God has designed you to be able to work from a place of rest, but you are trying to work to produce a place of rest. This never works.

There is always something else lined up to come and fill the place where you have labored. The One who is rest Himself is inviting you to sit as His feet and trust that the most important work is already done. This trust is your rest.
